A bi-monthly program designed to provide very young inventors with an orientation to science, history, gardening, art, music, dancing and exercising. Each class has a different theme and introduces science and art through engaging activities, along with time to tend the emerging inventors vegetable garden!
Emerging Inventors is a hands-on learning program for the young inventors and their moms, dads, grandparents, caretakers, and relatives. The number of young inventors is limited to allow for lots of learning but we would require a lot of adult participants as well.
Many families bring a bag lunch or have lunch at the Banyan Refreshment Area with other families to build on the day at Edison Ford.
Emerging Inventors get their hands dirty while tending to our community garden, creating their own planter and learning what makes plants grow.
- September 15 – Bugs & Butterflies- 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
Emerging Inventors will experience the beauty of our butterfly garden and become bug detectives as they learn what makes a spider a spider, and how to tell a butterfly from a moth.
Cost: Edison Ford Members $10 (one adult; one child) or $140 for all 16 classes; non-members $15 (one adult; one child) or $220 for all 16 classes. Each additional child $5.
Registration is required as space is limited. For more information or to register contact Leeanne Criswell, Edison Ford Program Registrar at email@example.com or 239-334-7419.
