Edison Ford Volunteer Meeting and Lecture

June 14, 10:00 a.m. – in the South Florida Water Management Building Lecture Hall

sprout queenGuest speaker, Christine “The Sprout Queen” Lindsey will share the history of sprouts, why we want them in our lives, sources of contamination, and an overview of the sprouting process.

The Sprout Queen, part of Pine Island Botanicals, is located on Pine Island. Since late 2009, Christine has helped the lives of many people by offering fresh, locally and organically grown non-GMO sprouts, sunflower greens, pea shoots, buckwheat lettuce, alfalfa, purple kohlrabi and wheatgrass. Sprout kits will be available to purchase at the lecture and afterwards in the Garden Shoppe.
