Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts Programming

● April 23, May 14, 10:00 a.m. – Noon – Computer Science/Software Engineering
camp computer january 2016Students will work toward a badge by completing an introduction course in computer science/software engineering. The scouts will learn the history of basic computer science and computer coding along with basic terms and concepts. Students will write code using Scratch to make a character talk, move and interact with its environment.

    The class is designed for students in grades 1-6. Students are introduced to the basics of the Scratch software environment. It is easy to start with, but older students can develop very complicated games/programs.
