Every week we will focus on a historical artifact from the Edison and Ford era including furniture, inventions, clothing, machinery, books, etc. The topics will vary monthly so you can focus on your interests.
The topics for October are:
- October 7 – 1916 Model T Ford with Registrar Matt Andres and Automotive Curator James Moss
- October 14 – Rubber Extraction Machine in Lab with Registrar Matt Andres
- October 21 – Who was John Burroughs (books on display) with Registrar Matt Andres and Curatorial Assistant Andrew Scheip
- October 28 – Research Results unveiled (Henry Ford Museum Trip) with Registrar Matt Andres and Chief Curator Mike Cosden
We plan to also have an “Appraiser’s Afternoon” scheduled periodically as part of this ongoing program. Cost: Edison Ford Members FREE; non-members Museum and Lab ticket.
