Edison Ford Receives $50,000 Donation to Development of Museum

Posted by Edison Ford Winter Estates On April 11th

sally johnson     In March, long time Edison Ford patron and friend, Sally Johnson, donated $50,000 to the Edison & Ford Winter Estates. Sally has directed that this donation be treated as a donation restricted to museum projects. She is passionate about preserving and educating the public about the Edison Ford legacy and about the research and development work of our two inventors. Her gift will help complete the new Rubber Lab exhibit and other museum improvements.

In addition to her other lifetime achievements, Sally worked with the owners of a historic factory building in New Jersey that had been used by Thomas Edison in the manufacturing of Edison Portland Cement for many years. She was able to salvage the brick and commemorate them to his research achievements. Some of the brick was donated to Edison Ford and is on display in the museum.
