  • History of Technology – Lighting Systems, April 10 or April 13, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.

     Students will learn about America’s greatest inventor Thomas Edison and how he lit up the world. Students will design and build a light system.

 

  • Robotics – Big Robotics, April 9, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. or 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.; April 10, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., April 13, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  

     homeschool with edison robotThe finale of the Robotic series. Students work with the life-size robot “Mr. Edison” as they try to make him dance.

Each session follows the Next Generation Florida Sunshine State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards (Common Core). Parents will receive curriculum outlines for each class. Each class for Robotics and History involves hands-on activities, and requires team work, critical thinking, problem solving and presentations from the students.

Cost: Edison Ford Members $15 (one adult; one child); non-members $25 (one adult, one child). Each additional child $15.
