Lecture for Volunteers ~ Open to the Public

  • March 10, 10:00 a.m. – Southwest Florida Water Management Lecture Hall  

     Guest speakers Dennis J. Giardina and Mike Owens of The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will speak about “The Restoration of Rare and Extirpated Orchids at Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park.” The talk will profile their work in Fakahatchee and adventures in Cuba, featuring the native orchids of Cuba.

Meetings are open to current Edison Ford volunteers, potential volunteers and the public. Donated baked goods and snacks are always appreciated. Coffee, tea and breakfast foods provided.
