  • History of Technology – Motors and Generators, March 9; March 13, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.

     Students learn how Michael Faraday, an English electromagnetism scientist, would change the world and inspire a new generation of scientists like Thomas Edison.

  • Robotics – Arduino Microcontrollers, March 9, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.; March 12, 9:30 – 11:30 or 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., March 13, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  

     Students combine their knowledge of circuits and code to utilize the Arduino microcontroller.

homeschool march 2015      Each session follows the Next Generation Florida Sunshine State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards (Common Core).

Parents will receive curriculum outlines for each class. Each class for Robotics and History involves hands-on activities, and requires team work, critical thinking, problem solving and presentations from the students.

Cost: Edison Ford Members $15 (one adult; one child); non-members $25 (one adult, one child). Each additional child $15.
