Posted by Edison Ford Winter Estates On March 6th

president update     Last month, on Thomas Edison’s Birthday, February 11, the Edison Bridge also celebrated the important anniversary of its opening in 1931. Named for Thomas Edison on his 84th birthday, the bridge was an important milestone for Edison who always predicted that “there is only one Fort Myers and soon 90 million people would discover it.”

As Edison predicted, people are discovering the area more every year with visitation to Edison Ford at an all-time high this year. Visitation for the past year is now totaling more than 240,000.

Visitors are telling us this on their comment cards every day. They are impressed with the personal service, the knowledge of the staff, the award winning restored buildings and gardens more than $14 million in restoration and improvements) and new programs like the wonderful River Cruises, Pinchers Restaurant and the facilities of The Marina at Edison Ford.

For Members and residents, this is a great time to visit with family and friends or just come sit on the riverside or enjoy beverages and food at Pinchers.
