The Junior Naturalist program is an exploration of the natural environment in Southwest Florida. Each class targets a different aspect of our environment with animals and habitats, trees, flowers, seeds and weather and a final summation class, covering ecosystems, river ecology and preservation. Students can register for classes individually. If a student completes all three classes, the student will receive an Edison Ford Junior Naturalist Badge and Certificate. The Junior Naturalist program is taught by certified Wetlands Master Naturalists and Edison Ford Faculty and will be based in the Edison Ford Education Center, with much of the time spent in the Edison Ford gardens. Registration is required.
