Twenty-four  Lee County schools are participating in the annual sculpture installation at Edison Ford. Large and small sculptures will be on display throughout the Heritage Garden adjacent to the Edison Ford Museum. President’s Update – Chris Pendleton, President & CEO

Posted by Edison Ford Winter Estates On April 10, 2014

president update     A lot is happening as we enter our 8th spring season as a private non-profit organization. All of it is very exciting for visitors, volunteers and staff.

A big part of the excitement is our new neighbor and “friend on the river,” The Marina at Edison ford and Pinchers at the Marina. The Marina at Edison Ford has been open for about a month (lunchtime through dinner 10:00 p.m.). Lots of our

members, visitors, and special guests are enjoying the fresh seafood (all local from Island Crab Company on Pine Island) and the amazing views (courtesy of the discovery of his cove by Thomas Edison 129 years ago).

For Edison Ford members and visitors, there is a beautiful new entrance through the Edison Cove. Many arrive by boat to the Marina at River Marker #54, have lunch, dinner or a beverage, and then use the Edison Cove to explore the Edison Cove and beyond (we have added a dozen new palms and other trees and seating areas).

Plan on lots of new programs and surprises in the coming months – projects like the new “Easter Brunch and a Stroll” starting at Pinchers for Easter Buffet and then strolling at Edison Ford (special river walk tour). Cost: Edison Ford Members FREE; non-members $10

Call Darlene Hermey, Membership Coordinator, for information on what’s going on and to check on your membership status for free admission to Edison Ford and hundreds of other sites across the nation.
