The Edison Ford Wild Wizards will be one of the activities at Aviation Day, November 3 10 – 3 at the Lee County Port Authority at Page Field in Fort Myers. It’s an event for the whole family with air shows, activities, and food.
Admission and parking are free; however, attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
Aviation Day’s star attraction this year is a North American B-25J Mitchell, a twin-engine bomber from the World War II era. A military transport aircraft, the Douglas C-47A Skytrain, also will be on display.
Other attractions will include free children’s activities (giant slide and bounce houses), experimental, antique and general aviation aircraft, airplane and helicopter rides (for a fee), performances by a 17-piece big band ensemble, character appearances, airport police and fire department demonstrations, clowns and face painting, aviation-themed shopping, food and more.
Aviation Day will be held on the north side of the Page Field general aviation airport, which is off North Airport Road, east of U.S. 41 and south of Colonial Blvd. Free parking and shuttle service for the Nov. 3 event will be available off North Airport Road and U.S. 41.
