Governor Rick Scott and family visit the Edison & Ford Winter Estates

Fort Myers, Florida (December 28, 2011) Florida Governor Rick Scott, his wife Ann, daughter Jordan and son-in-law Jeremy toured the Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, Florida, December 28,2011.  Edison Ford CEO & President, Chris Pendleton and Curator, Alison Giesen gave Florida’s first family a tour of the newly restored riverside homes and gardens as well as the Edison Botanic Research Laboratory.

In the Edison Caretaker's House at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates, Fort Myers, Florida; the Scott family view "The Past in Paintings, the Edison & Ford Era" exhibit with work by Florida artists Florence Keene Sandsom, Buell Lee Whitehead and Megan Kissinger. The exhibit continues through Spring 2012.

The restoration of the Edison Botanic Research Laboratory at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates, Fort Myers, Florida is complete. Governor Rick Scott and wife Ann enjoy a "behind the scenes tour" of the Lab with President & CEO, Chris Pendleton.

Governor Rick Scott and family enjoy a tour in Fort Myers, Florida of the Edison & Ford Winter Estates; historic homes, gardens, lab and museum with President & CEO Chris Pendleton and Curator Alison Giesen. The Edison Ford has completed restoration of the site and received the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Trustee Emeritus Award for Excellence and the National Garden Clubs, Inc. Award of Excellence.

Under one of the nations largest Banyan trees, Florida Governor Rick Scott and family, Mrs. Edison, Mr. Edison, Edison Ford President & CEO Chris Pendleton and Curator Alison Giesen begin their tour of the Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, Florida.
